LIGHT IT UP

The Luminary Challenge is your chance to design what comes next.

Great lighting starts with a great idea. And we want to see yours.

Introducing The Luminary Challenge—a new design contest from CIANA × Varaluz, created for designers with an original lighting idea worth putting into the world.

We’re looking for one original fixture concept designed from the ground up. Something with a distinct point of view. Something unexpected.

Your idea. Your design. Your chance to light up the next Varaluz collection.

Submit a 3D rendering, high-quality hand sketch, or digital sketch along with a 150-word inspiration statement telling us what sparked the idea to marketingdept@cianalighting.com. And because we want to know the designer behind the design, be sure to include your name, business name if applicable, email address, and phone number with your submission.

Submissions are open through October 16, 2026.

And we’re not keeping your ideas tucked away.

EVERY ENTRY GETS A SPOTLIGHT.

Every submitted design will be printed and displayed in the CIANA × Varaluz showroom throughout High Point Market, giving your work a place in the spotlight alongside some of the industry’s best.

Then comes the big moment.

During Market, our panel will select one winning design. That concept will have the opportunity to enter production as part of the CIANA × Varaluz line—with ongoing royalties paid to you as its designer.

So, what have you been waiting to design?

A little unexpected? We like that.
A little unconventional? Even better.
A fixture that only you could dream up? Now we’re talking.

Bring us your best idea.

LIGHT IT UP.
