Vote for Varaluz in the 2023 NYCxDESIGN Awards

While we tend to think that all of our lighting fixtures and home decor items are winners, our new Machina collection is currently up for top spot.  Machina has been nominated for an NYCxDESIGN award, and you can vote for it until April 28th.

This new collection for the Smithsonian is ready to take flight. With Machina, classic design and aviation-inspired concepts come together to elevate the look of any room. A propellor motif meets midcentury aesthetics and tiki accoutrements to create a style that soars. Get ready to fly away to mod Polynesia every time you flip on the switch. Machina features sealed natural and sustainable rattan over black recycled steel.

Part of the Varaluz Collaboration With The Smithsonian

Designer Ron Henderson’s love for science, aeronautics, and anything historical, began early in his career as a former pilot, Air Force Captain, and Boeing Engineer, with a degree in aerospace engineering (essentially rocket science). So, when the opportunity to collaborate with the Smithsonian presented itself, it was a lifelong dream come true. With nearly 155,000,000 artifacts in their collection to choose from, finding the ideal inspiration for lighting, furniture, mirrors, wall décor and accessory collections was a lot easier than, well, rocket science.

Don't forget to vote!  Voting ends April 28th.
